A few terms
- Solar roof
- A roof whose covering includes solar. Some panels generate and some don't.
- Active panel
- A roof panel with photovoltaic cells. In SolRoof, that's FIT VOLT.
- Passive panel
- A matching roof panel without cells. In SolRoof, that's FIT.
- Flashings and trim
- The pieces that seal a roof at its edges and around anything that passes through it.
